Part of the reason I made the decision to stay in Philly a couple weeks ago was because I had a trip to Alaska coming up. For whatever reason I thought it would be a good to make a decision based on this time frame, either I would go back to Philly post-Alaska, or stay in Michigan.
Well as my last post detailed I decided to return, which is what I'm currently in the process of doing as I write this. But this post isn't about that, it's about the amazing time I had in Alaska.
I need to go back.
Alaska was beautiful. The sky, the air, the mountains, even the rain was bearable. The light at night was kinda difficult, but it was bearable. This amazing opportunity was available because of some family friends that were renting houses in Alaska for awhile. I am so thankful that they wanted family and friends to come visit.
It was also just nice to see my family for awhile. I'm an only child and being 10 hours away for three months was the longest I'd been apart, which may not seem like a lot but hey, we were close ok?
Our trip consisted of A week in Seward and a couple days in Denali, separated by a couple layovers in Anchorage. We fished, hiked, saw glaciers, saw Denali (a rarity), and ate so much fish it was ridiculous. But I'm rambling, and words don't accurately describe the experience I had, so please enjoy the following pictures, some of which will be made into prints or calendars.
