It's crazy how time flies; feels like I just moved to Philadelphia yesterday and it's already been three months. Part of my decision to move here was trial based: I wasn't sure if I would stay, which is why I bought a mattress with a 100-day return policy (S/O Tuft+Needle, review to come soon).
Now that my 100 days are up, it's time to make a decision. And like all important decisions it's not an easy one.
There were a few pros and cons, but what it ultimately boiled down to was hope. Not a desperate hope, but a hope for more positive change. These past three months have been filled with things way out of my comfort zone, from flat-out awful housing to not having a car.
The days were filled with action and preparation. I knew that I was building up to something better, and while it hasn't come yet I'm hopeful that it will.
So that's why I've decided to stay in Philly, at least for the foreseeable future. Chances are I won't settle down here, but for now I'll continue to seek out what it has to offer me, because aside from my immediate surroundings it's been pretty great.
